Join a team of Pitt students on a week-long service project during Spring Break at service sites across America. Students receive OCC credit for participation. Pitt's Alternative Break program is much more than a volunteer vacation experience. Its eight essential components combine to create an experience that is intended  to influence participants to transfer what they have learned to their own communities and to start them on a course of lifelong active citizenship. It is intended to truly be "a break that will last a life time".
