The mission of America Reads Challenge @ Pitt is to help Kindergarten to third grade students improve their reading ability to enable them to read independently by the end of third grade. America Reads Challenge (ARC) Tutors work in local schools and community agencies for ten hours per week. America Reads Challenge hires Federal Work Students or accepts volunteers for credit or non-credit internships to serve as reading tutors.
