Applications are available for fall term 2011 Federal Work Study Tutor positions.
America Reads Challenge (ARC) hires Federal Work Study students and accepts volunteers for credit and non-credit internships.
Work study students receive $8.15 per hour. All tutors commit to 10 hours per week.
Training is provided. Transportation by van or local transit is available.

The mission of America Reads Challenge (ARC) is to help Kindergarten to third grade students improve their reading ability to enable them to read independently by the end of third grade.
Requirements for Tutors:
1. Commit to at least one semester of service.
2. Commit to participating 10 hours per week.
3. Commit to one of the following shifts:
Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Monday and Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.
